Overseas Students

Overseas Students

Trinity has a long history of educating international students, spanning over 70 years. Our international students are encouraged to participate fully in school life both in and outside the classroom, with an emphasis on enjoyment of learning.

Over the years we have welcomed boys from countries all around the world, including China, Hong Kong SAR, Republic of China (Taiwan), Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Russia.

We are committed to ensuring our international students settle in comfortably and are well supported and cared for during their stay.

Curriculum

The Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) is internationally recognised and provides students with pathways to tertiary study or paid employment. It is awarded to Victorian students upon satisfactory completion of their secondary education, and spans both Years 11 and 12. A student must plan a program of study based on his own strengths and future career aspirations. The School’s Career Guidance Counsellor and Heads of Year assist with this choice.

Our Coordinate Program, run in conjunction with Ruyton Girls’ School, enables us to offer an extensive selection of VCE subjects, and also provides students with the opportunity to experience a coeducational learning environment at an age and stage at which they have the maturity and self-confidence to gain maximum benefit.

Melbourne Schools Partnership International (MSPI)

The MSPI is a unique partnership between the University of Melbourne and leading Victorian independent schools, which also involves a relationship with the Department of Education and Training.

Trinity Grammar School, Kew is proud of its affiliation with MSPI and the University of Melbourne.

The program is designed to support the personal and academic development of high-achieving international students, and incorporates a range of activities, which are designed to inform students about future study opportunities, and motivate them to maximise their talents and abilities.
