We have a new feature in our school calendar, Trinity Cricket’s Pink Stumps Day!
This morning under inclement skies, our cricket community celebrated the end of the season with the inaugural Pink Stumps Day featuring two T20 games.
A newly ‘minted’ trophy was unveiled, the Trinity Tashes Cup, which will be presented each year to the winners of the Trinity Students vs Staff T20 game. The Cup contains the ashes of a burnt stump and the names of today’s teams. Every Trinity cricket player could nominate to represent the students, with the eventual team decided by a draw. Our First XI Squad played in the second T20 game (replacing the First XI’s cancelled final match of the AGSV 2020/2021 season against Ivanhoe) in a keenly contested game. Each player was presented with a pink cap to commemorate the match.
