Mrs Hill is a highly regarded Mathematics and PE teacher, and in recent years has been a popular and valued Head of Year 12 here at Trinity. Coming from a NSW farming family with three brothers, sport has always been an integral part of her life, especially running marathons and, impressively, an Ironman competition! Travel is another passion, with her 2020 long-service leave plans of travelling the globe thwarted by the pandemic after India, Egypt, Jordan and Morocco. Not to be stopped, she and her husband, Ricky, returned to Australia and spent the remainder of their time discovering all that Western Australia has to offer.
As the Deputy Principal of the School and Head of the Senior School, part of Mrs Hill’s role is to foster student and staff welfare, “to create a space where all can feel comfortable pursuing their passions”. Trinity’s breadth of extra-curricular opportunities and our peer-mentoring focus were key attributes that first attracted her to our School. These continue to be elements of the Trinity education she is most proud of, together with the fact boys can feel safe to explore and develop their sense of self fully. In turn, we are very proud of Mrs Hill’s zeal to create an environment for our boys and staff to thrive.
We look forward to bringing you more on Mrs Hill’s approach to her new role in our first 2021 edition of the Grammarian magazine.
Congratulations, Mrs Hill!
