This term the Year 3 boys are exploring the central idea, ‘World faiths may connect people and build relationships locally and globally’ as a part of the Primary Years Program. Early in the term, the boys had a Teams call with Manjit Singh Hoonjan in Calcutta to ask him about Sikhism and Manjit’s experience living as a Sikh.
This week the boys devised their own faith, combining aspects of all the faiths that they have studied. They made many connections between faiths and were very open-minded as they collaborated in groups of eight to create places of worship, rules, holy books, celebrations and symbols.
The boys showed great pride when they shared their new faiths with teachers who had assisted them in their learning.
