From the Junior School
Welcome back to school everyone. We have another busy term planned, and some very special events for the Year 6s as their time in the Junior School comes to an end.
Boys are now required to wear their correct summer uniform to and from school. Please remember that all boys must wear a broad brimmed hat during playtime throughout Term 4. However, before you put the winter uniform away for the season, I would like to remind our Year 6 parents that the boys need their winter uniform (Best Dress) for various activities throughout Term 4 such as the Canberra Camp, the Year 6 Graduation Dinner and the Junior School Presentation Night. All Year 6 boys will wear their full winter uniform for departure to Canberra, and the winter uniform will also be worn to venues such as Parliament House and the Australian War Memorial. All boys from Years 3 to 6 will wear their winter uniform on the evening of Thursday 1 December for the Years 3-6 Presentation Night.
New staff appointments for Term 4
Miss Jolie Gardiner has been appointed to the Junior School to teach Prep M for Term 4. Miss Marissa O’Reilly will be taking drama for Years 3-6. Mr Huw Jones will be taking PE and Sport for Years 4-6 with Miss Ashlee Bruce coordinating all the sport administration in Mr Ponsford’s absence while he takes long service leave this term.
We look forward to all these staff joining us this term.

Head of Junior School
From the Senior School
Welcome to Term 4. I hope that all students and families had an opportunity to relax over the holiday period.

Michael Fan is to be congratulated on receiving a SAGSE (Australian-German Student Exchange) scholarship to travel to Germany for 10 weeks during the December/January holidays. The exchange program aims to give students an insight into a foreign culture and build friendships between the youth of these two countries.
VCAA Examinations
VCAA language oral examinations begin this week, with the written examinations beginning on 26 October. We wish all students every success in completing their VCE Unit 3/4 subjects.

Melbourne Royal Show
Trinity entered the cookery competition and exhibition at the 2022 Melbourne Royal Show. We had 34 Year 9/10 cooking students enter a variety of food products. This included jam, lemon curd, biscuits, honeycomb, truffles, raw balls, gingerbread, rocky road and baked granola. The students were really engaged with this challenge. They were excited about their products being judged against lots of other entries and being on display for the public to see. The possibility of winning a prize was also a big talking point amongst the students. Some students even practiced at home before making their final product at school. Once the entries were delivered to the show it took about a week before results were made public. The results were fantastic! Please find below a breakdown of the prize winners:
