It has been wonderful to welcome back our students for the start of Term 4. Longer days and the hope of warmer weather means there is a lot to look forward to. The Junior School were treated to an amazing opening night of the art exhibition on Wednesday evening. The calibre of art and the variety of techniques on display provided a great insight into the quality of the art program at Trinity. There were awards presented to students on the night. These awards were based on the students’ commitment to the Art program, work ethic, growth and their ability to fully embrace their inner artist, as well as encourage and inspire it in others.

South Yarra District SSV District Athletics Carnival at Doncaster
On Tuesday 5 September a team of boys selected from the recently run trials at Collingwood earlier in Term 3 travelled to the Doncaster Athletics Track to compete in the South Yarra District Athletics carnival. In challenging conditions our boys were competitive in a broad range of track and field events! There were several outstanding results highlighted by Freddie Quilty who broke the current District 11 Years – 800m District record. Overall, our wonderful team performance had Trinity awarded the South Yarra District Boys Aggerate award for the most points gained. Now a team using the results from both the trials and our recently run House Athletics carnival will be selected and compete at the Junior AGSV Athletics carnival early in Term 4.

Languages Championships
The students who study languages at Trinity had the opportunity to participate in the 2023 Global Languages Championship and in the Victorian Regional Languages Championship, offered by the online learning platform ‘Education Perfect’. The championships focus specifically on world languages and aim to promote language learning and cultural understanding among students worldwide and typically involve a series of language-based tasks and challenges that test students’ proficiency in various aspects of the target language, including vocabulary, grammar, listening, reading and writing.
Sixteen students achieved an award in the Global Languages Championship, receiving a certificate for their efforts, and five students earned a certificate in the Victorian Regional Languages Championship.
