From the Principal
I hope that school families were able to enjoy the break from the routine of classes in recent weeks. Having spoken with many students on their return, there were many worthy adventures and clearly travel is back on the agenda at large!
A new semester brings with it various opportunities and possibilities. As there always is at the changeover of semesters, there are some changes to individual timetables and classes, and some changes in staffing. We are fortunate to be a destination school for staff and continue to enjoy strong interest and very worthy candidates. I know that the school community will join with me in welcoming new families and staff to Trinity.
At our Staff Development Day on Monday, we had opportunity to reflect on the year so far, to engage with various elements of professional learning and to project into the rest of the year’s activities. We also considered the latest iteration of our forming strategic plan, which has enjoyed contribution and scrutiny from many stakeholders over the past 18 months. School Council formally adopted the draft plan at a strategy day in late June, and will consider further planning at its next strategy day in August. In the coming weeks we will provide opportunities for the school community to engage with our plan as it goes through a design process in order to ensure it is well digested and understood. We look forward to further conversations across the community regarding the plans soon.
At the start of a semester, with refreshed minds and goals, we can all look forward to worthy work and play ahead. We are fortunate to belong to a community that values education in the way that we do, and values people first and foremost. I look forward to witnessing our people discovering and embracing the opportunities and possibilities on offer.

From the Junior School
Welcome back everyone.
Speaking to parents as I do the rounds – as I normally do at the start of each term – it sounds like the school holiday break was appreciated by all, whether it was travelling overseas or interstate or, like me, spending most of the time at home with family.
The term ahead will be a busy one and will finish with our Junior School Year Level Plays for Prep, Years 1, 2 and 3. Mr Page, Ms Berkley, all the class teachers and many other dedicated staff have already invested an enormous amount of time and effort into these Year Level Plays. We look forward to the boys’ performance and seeing them on stage, for many of them for the first time.
The Junior School term calendar will be sent home early this week.
Staff Notice
This term we welcome Ms Sarah Lienert to the Junior School as our new music teacher for ELC to Year 3. Ms Lienert comes to Trinity from Laburnum Primary where she has been working as the music teacher for the past four years. Sarah has a wealth of experience coordinating and organising a variety of music performances and festivals both nationally and internationally, having also taught overseas at the Australian International School in Singapore for four years. We look forward to her contribution to our Junior Primary years.
Ms Ash Bruce has taken over the role of PE teacher from Mr Jackson Harrison for our ELC and Prep students. Mr Harrison’s rowing commitments have increased in the Secondary School making way for Ms Bruce to take up this role for the second semester. Ms Bruce has already been working in Trinity’s PE department helping in both the Junior and Senior School for the past 12 months, so will already be known to many of the boys.
Out of School Hours Care
Trinity is pleased to announce that we have a new service provider that will provide Before and After School Care to our community from the beginning of Week 3 of this term. Towards the end of Term 2 the school underwent an extensive tendering process to determine the most suitable service provider for our Junior School students and families, ELC to Year 6. We are pleased to announce Team Kids can be confirmed as the official service provider.
Our own Early Learning Centre staff will be employed in the lead up days until the Team Kids staff are able to formally take over. In time we will formally launch and welcome the Team Kids staff and program. Further details will be provided in due course.
