Team Evolve revved up ahead of F1 in Schools World Championship
This morning, the CEO of Australian Grand Prix Corporation, Andrew Westacott visited Trinity’s Team Evolve as they finalise their preparations for the Formula 1 in Schools World Championship this weekend.
The team, made up of Adam Blunt (Year 11), Stuart Bryce (Year 11), Andrew Greig (Year 10), Charles Palfreeman (Year 10) and Thomas Bugno (Year 12), will travel to Abu Dhabi on Thursday to compete against 60 of the world’s best teams, and will aim for Trinity’s third World Championship title, following the success of Stingers in 2006, and Hyperdrive in 2017.
Television and newspaper media were present to speak to the boys about their win at the National Championships earlier this year, and find out more about the development they have undertaken since to finalise their cars for competition. Their interviews will feature on evening television news bulletins on Tuesday 19 November.
F1 in Schools is one of the globe’s largest competitive science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) events, and involves more than 17,000 schools in 44 countries.
