2018 Energy Breakthrough Competition

The 2018 Energy Breakthrough was held in Maryborough from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 November.

This event involves a 24-hour trial in which students from secondary schools around Australia race Human Powered Vehicles around a street circuit of 1.58km.

This year, Trinity entered two teams in the Energy Efficient Vehicles (EEV) category, with our senior team Back in Black (528 laps / 834km) placing second in the trial, and our development team – Granny Smith (469 laps / 744km) – coming fifth.

The event was a success thanks to the commitment of the parents, students and staff involved. A great community effort! The staff and boys are already talking about how to go one better at the 2019 trial.
