David Baumgartner

David Baumgartner is the Senior Partner and founder of Baumgartner Group (Chartered Accountants) in Kew.

Even though David’s formal schooling finished in 1979, he has never left Trinity.  A brief stint training with the OTG football club convinced Ian Munro that David’s contribution to his old school would be much more beneficial off the field.  Accordingly, he was invited onto the Old Trinity Grammarians Association committee in 1983, a position he continues to occupy after a recent stint as President.  His two boys loved their time at Trinity, revelling in its unique culture, with the youngest finishing his VCE in 2017.  David is an ardent supporter of Trinity’s unique vision that embraces the holistic development of each student – spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, physically, socially, and morally, within a school recognised for excellence.

David’s past community activities have included being Treasurer of Friends of the Royal Botanic Gardens, President of the YMCA Aquarena, a member of the Manningham Council Open Spaces Advisory Committee and a coach at Templestowe Auskick.

Liz Beasley

Liz’s four sons all attended TGS, her youngest finishing in 2018. During this time she was heavily involved in running the Uniform Shop over many years. She is a volunteer at the Royal Children’s Hospital where she cares for very sick children, their siblings and their parents as they navigate the complex needs of their families during challenging times. She is also a volunteer at the Old Trinity Grammarians Football Club, where she regularly refuels up to 100 footballers on Thursday nights after training. 

Wendy Cooper

Wendy is a past parent and the mother of two OTGs, her youngest finishing at the School in 2014.  Wendy has a daughter who attended Ruyton Girls’ School finishing in 2018.

During Wendy’s time at Trinity she was an active volunteer in the school community having been involved in the Parents’ Association, Cafeteria Committee and a member of the Fair Committee. 

Jeremy Duffield

Jeremy is an OTG, finishing in 1972.  Jeremy currently is the Chair, Retirement Essentials and Chair/Co-Founder of SuperEd Pty Ltd. Jeremy is well regarded in the Australian and International financial services sector, having served as a senior executive with leading global funds manager The Vanguard Group USA from 1980 to 2010. 

Jeremey is Chairman of the Australian Centre for Financial Studies and is a non-executive director of MLC, National Wealth Management and Plum Financial Services.  He is a member of the Federal Government’s Australian Centre Financial Task Force.

John Gillam

John was the Chair of School Council from June 2018 until July 2020, serving on School Council for 3 years. John has an extensive executive and non-executive career history.  He is currently Chairman of CSR Limited and Nufarm Limited as well as a Board Member of the Clontarf Foundation and the Heartwell Foundation. John was the CEO of Bunnings from 2004 to 2016 and was also a past Board Member at Ruyton Girls’ School. His son graduated from Trinity Grammar School, Kew in 2018.

Rob Gow

Rob’s career in education and leadership over the past 24 years has been in both the State and co-educational independent sectors, at Primary and Middle School levels. Rob is currently the Head of Middle School, Wesley College St Kilda Rd. Rob is a current parent with two boys attending TGS and is looking forward to positively contributing to the school. 

Kate Hall

Kate Hall was a member of the Trinity Leadership Team and Deputy Headmaster, Daily Administration (later renamed Assistant Principal, Daily Administration) a role she held for 21 years until her retirement at the end of 2021.  Kate commenced her teaching at Trinity in 1987, teaching English and Literature, then taking on several leadership roles that of Assistant Group master and Head of Year during her early tenure, until appointment to the Leadership role. 

Although retired, Kate remains connected and dedicated to Trinity and the broader Trinity community.
 Kate keeps busy in her retirement spending time with friends and family, reading, playing tennis and enjoys planning for her next trip overseas.

Justice Sharon Johns

Justice Sharon Johns completed a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law and in 2013 was appointed as a Judge of the Family Court of Australia and continues to work in that role. In addition to her work as a Judge, she is actively involved in the Trinity Community and provides voluntary services to a number of community and sporting groups.

Ryan Landgren

Mr Ryan Landgren attended Trinity Grammar School from 2004 and completed his studies in 2009. He joined the OTGA Committee in 2019 and has demonstrated himself to be an impressive contributor. Ryan is now in his second year as OTGA Vice President and in this role is responsible for supporting, representing and growing the many OTGA Clubs. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Commercial Law and Finance. He currently works as a Senior Manager with BT which is the wealth management arm of the Westpac Group. 

Professor Tim Lindsey AO

Tim is an OTG, finishing in 1979. He is the Redmond Barry Distinguished Professor and Malcolm Smith Professor of Asian Law at the University of Melbourne, where he is also the Director of the Centre for Indonesian Law, Islam and Society. He is the author of over 100 publications and is executive editor of the Australian Journal of Asian Law. He was previously the long-serving Chair of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Australia Indonesia Institute. He is an inductee in the TGS Gallery of Achievement. 

David Mansour

David is an OTG from the 1960s and early 1970s. He returned to TGS to teach HSC, later VCE, Economics in 1987 and undertook various roles, including Head of Commerce, Head of Arnold House, Head of Years 10 and 11 and Senior Master during his tenure. He retired in 2015, although remains connected to TGS through the China Program and VCE exam supervision. He is the father of two OTGs, both of whom commenced in Junior School and both of whom he taught. He is an inductee in the TGS Gallery of Achievement. 

Vivienne Monteith

Vivienne was born and educated in South Africa where she began her career as a primary school teacher. In 1996, she and her family relocated to New Zealand, where she continued her teaching career. In 2009, Vivienne joined TGS’s Junior School, teaching Year 2, Year 6 and Religious Education prior to retiring at the end of 2018. She keeps busy in her retirement by spending time with her family, tutoring, learning Mandarin and singing in the choir at St George’s East Ivanhoe. 

Rev Robert Newton

Robert is currently Vicar of Holy Trinity Kew, a member of the Melbourne Anglican Diocesan Schools Commission and a Director of Hume Anglican Grammar. He was previously Archdeacon of LaTrobe and Ballarat and a Director of Ballarat Grammar School. He has also been a missionary teacher in Zimbabwe, Chaplain at Malvern College UK, Head of Religious Education at Newington College in Sydney and Trinity College in Gawler, SA. 

Jane Rodgers

Jane is a past parent, dedicated volunteer and the mother of three OTGs.  Jane’s eldest son was School Captain in 2012 and her youngest two boys completing their studies in 2017.  During Jane’s time at Trinity she was involved in the Parents’ Association, the Cafeteria Committee and was an instrumental member of the Fair Committee.

Dr Shivanthan Shanthikumar

Shiv is an OTG and was School Captain in 2004. After finishing at Trinity, he remained involved in the school community primarily through OTG activities in Indigenous communities. Professionally, he is a paediatrician who specialises in respiratory medicine. 

Jack Stewart

Jack is an OTG and was School Captain in 2020.  He is currently studying Medicine at Monash University.  He was actively involved with the School community through debating and public speaking.  Jack has joined as a member of the OTGA Committee and provides support to current students.

Will Toner

Will is an OTG and was School Captain in 2022. He is currently enrolled at the University of Melbourne and is completing a bachelor of Commerce with majors in Accounting and Finance. He remains actively involved with the school community and acts as a role model to current students. Will is an avid St Kilda supporter and is also a member of the OTGA Committee.

Rick Tudor OAM

Rick was Headmaster of TGS from 1999 to 2013. Prior to that he was Headmaster of Beaconhills College and Deputy Headmaster of Melbourne Grammar School, following a career as an educator. He is a Board Member of Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School, The King David School, the Nawarddeken Academy, Trinity College (University of Melbourne), Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority, the Melbourne Anglican Diocesan Schools’ Commission and the Melbourne Anglican Foundation. He is a Co-founder and Founding Board Member of the Melbourne Indigenous Transition School and Board Chair of The Science Schools’ Foundation. 

Dr Murray Verso

Murray is an OTG from the 1960s, a past parent and a former long serving member of the School Council. He was Chairman of Council from 1995 until 2004. Professionally, Murray was a general medical practitioner. In retirement, he now undertakes various administrative and project roles within Rotary International. He is an inductee in the TGS Gallery of Achievement. 

Linda Weatherson

Linda’s family’s connection to TGS spans over 70 years with her great uncle, Alfred Bright, being Headmaster in the 1940s and 50s and her son finishing at the school in 2010. Linda continues to volunteer at TGS as a committee member of the Old Trinity Grammarians Football Club. Professionally, she is Director City Operations at the City of Melbourne. 

Neil Williams

Neil is an OTG from the late 1950s and early 60s and was School Captain in 1964. He is a past parent, a former long serving member of the School Council and was Chair of Council from 1992 to 1995. Professionally, Neil practised law with Blake & Riggall before specialising in corporate finance and general management. He is a former company director of Spotless Group Ltd and Pacific Hydro Ltd, among others. He is an inductee in the TGS Gallery of Achievement.

Dr Lynette Wong

Lynette Hall (née Wong), MBBS FRACGP PGDipManagement, has professional experience and interests spanning mental health, day hospital governance, healthcare quality, safety and healthcare consumer partnership and engagement. She enjoys being part of the TGS community and embraces its vision and values. Her late father (1959), brother (1989) and son attended TGS and daughter, Coordinate Program (2020’s).
