The Trinity Grammar School Senior School, dotted along both sides of Wellington and Charles Street, educates roughly 1,000 students from Year 7 – Year 12.
Predicated by the Victorian Curriculum and underscored by a philosophy of student agency, growth and resilience, our approach offers young people the breadth and depth to become their best selves.
The Trinity Senior School classroom is a defined single-sex learning environment for boys up until Year 10, with the opportunity to experience coeducation in partnership with Ruyton Girls’ School at the VCE level.
Sitting alongside the academic program is a robust suite of cocurricular offerings supported by high quality facilities and specialist staff. Students have the agency to discover and nurture their interests, from drama to leadership, music, outdoor education and sport.
These programs, combined with House community events, mentorship opportunities and other voluntary activities, mean that every student’s day in the Senior School looks a little bit different
Ultimately, we aim to provide the opportunities and challenges, as well as the structure and support, to give our young people a balanced and fulfilling education.
Cocurricular opportunities
Outdoor Education
The Outdoor Education program at Trinity uses the natural world as a classroom for personal development.
Students learn and use outdoor skills, challenge themselves in an environment outside their comfort zones and extend their personal and social relationships.
Sport
Sport at Trinity encourages the development of teamwork, leadership, resilience, commitment, sportsmanship and camaraderie.
Supported by the Physical Education program, students try out a wide range of sports to find the best fit for the individual. There is an expectation that all students represent Trinity for a summer and winter sport.
Drama
Music at Trinity begins with the basics: listening and responding, music comprehension, composition and performance.
Building on these foundations, the program extends to specialist individual tuition, performance opportunities with one of over 40 groups and ensembles, and curated subject offerings at the senior level.

Locations
The built and natural environment, which is centred in Kew but extends to Bulleen, Licola and Nillahcootie, creates a diversity of learning experiences catered to each age and stage of development.
Trinity Grammar School students travel together via private bus to Bulleen for sport most weeks, and have the opportunity to visit the remote Licola and Lake Nillahcootie locations as part of the Outdoor Education program.
