BYOOOD (Bring Your Own Optional Other Device)

At the end of last year, it was decided that boys in the Senior School may bring other communication devices to School such as mobile phones and ipads.

We believe that these devices can be beneficial to the learning in the classroom such as photographing an experiment, taking a snap shot of the work on the board or being used for internet communication or text messaging fellow students or contacts in different time zones across the world. The School tablet computer is still the primary learning device and is required for all classes. Mobile phones are not to be used for personal communication during the School day and are expected to be switched off when not required.

Please note these devices are optional and boys must take responsibility for the security of their own devices.

This is a huge step forward in mobile communication as it allows students to access more information about School matters and their own work from smaller more portable devices. We hope and expect this to make School work more interesting and to provide for improved learning techniques.
